The Vanson Cobra 2 Jacket (COB2) represents the culmination of over thirty years of experience in making America’s finest leather jackets. The COB2 offers the look and construction of our competition roadrace suits with a modified fit for street use in the widest possible temperature range. The most obvious feature of the COB2 is the perforated front. What is less obvious is the patented air tight Wind Curtain ™ behind the perforations that allow the rider complete control over the airflow through the jacket. Another exclusive feature is our R.A.M. Air sleeve vent located inside the curve of the elbow on the sleeves. the R.A.M. (Rapid Air Movement) vent is a patented system that channels cooling air up your arms to your torso while maintaining a constant sleeve circumference whether the vent is opened or closed. A constant sleeve circumference is crucial to the rider’s safety as it ensures that the double leather protection in the impact zones remains over the area it is designed to protect. The COB2 accepts Vanson armor in the elbow/forearm, shoulder, and spine. Compatible armor includes our GP armor as supplied with our competition roadrace suits, CE armor, and our street armor. All of this protection is removable, adjustable, and modular for use in any combination. Constructed of 1.4-1.5mm (3.5 - 3.75oz per square foot) cowhide, the COB2 provides the highest level of protection with the greatest level of comfort of any leather jacket made today.
