AVENGER VENT
The patented Avenger Vent System ( U.S. Pat. #4513451) provides the largest controllable vent area of any jacket. In this elegantly simple system two panels on the front of the jacket fold down to expose perforated leather panels behind. This cooling method distinguishes itself from other manufacturer's venting systems by preventing the jacket from ballooning and changing size with each vent you open. The Avenger Vent can be seen in Chapters 2 and 5.15 -- 

AIR CURTAIN VENT
VANSON's patented (U.S. Pat #5.507.042) Air Curtain Vent is featured on our COBRA jacket. This system features a perforated jacket front with an airtight membrane behind. In this membrane are panels that zip down and fold into pockets which allow air to flow through the jacket and out the exit vents in back. By putting the vents on the inside, an allowance is made for graphics to be applied to the jacket front which isn't possible with the Avenger vent. Like the Avenger, this system prevents billowing and stretching when the vents are open. The Air Curtain Vent can be seen on the Cobra jacket in chapter 2.15 --

AIR INDUCTION RAM
Our Air Induction Ram system (A.I.R., Patent pending), available on the FALCON, 3FA, 3ATV and Outback jackets in Chapter 7 and as an option on other coats in the Sport Rider family, follows the same concept as the Avenger and Air Curtain patents. By backing the open vent with a material of fixed circumference, this prevents the sleeve from growing and the armor shifting out of position when the vent is open. The A.I.R. system consists of a zipper on the sleeve inseam at the elbow. The air enters the sleeve through perforated leather behind the open zipper and flows up a channel which leads directly to the armpit, cooling you by carrying heat away and out the nearby exit vents. The combination of VANSON's A.I.R. and one of our other patented vent systems makes for the most controllable ventilation you can buy in any motorcycle jacket.15 --

Each time you see this ICON you know that you will never have to settle for a man's jacket that doesn't fit you or make do with a limited selection of women's gear again. These garments can be seen in chapter 9.

STREAMLINER VEST
VANSON was the first manufacturer to use DuPont ComforMax ® IB in a garment. This state-of-the-art material is the ultimate in low bulk insulation. It provides 14 times more insulating power than the taffeta lining found in many leather jackets, and with much less bulk. The Streamliner vest, seen in Chapter 8, has two hand pockets, two zippered pockets and three huge internal cargo pockets. It has a black nylon outer shell and is reversible to International Safety Orange. It can be worn alone or will snap into your VANSON jacket. Adjustable sidelaces allow for universal fit and unisex sizing.

ZIP TO PANTS
All of the garments which bear the Zip-To Icon feature a zipper which enables it to be attached to a corresponding pant or jacket via a Spandex panel. This allows both stretch and flexibility during normal movement and secure attachment in a crash scenario. This feature gives many of the protective benefits of a two-piece roadrace suit while still allowing the convince of two separate garments. The Spandex keeps the jacket from riding up and also helps keep cold air out. With this system you can infinitely mix and match our perf'ed and non-perf'ed or leather and Cordura garments.

Three part jacket to pant attachment
All of the garments with this new icon feature a zipper at the center back and one on either side of the center front zipper which allow the garments to be joined via a spandex panel.
The front panels have 2 settings which allow for tuck or relaxed riding position. The new 3 part attachment will join the two garments in a manner acceptable for most informal track purposes.
This new 3 part attachment system will now be available in our standard Sport
Rider and Traveller pants: PTSR, PTSV, PTTS, PTTV.

REFLECTIVE
VANSON uses 3M (tm) Scotchlite (tm) Reflective Material on a number of our garments. Scotchlite (tm) Reflective Material enhances the visibility of the wearer in low light and night time riding situations by creating a brighter image that motorists can more readily see from a distance. This reflective material returns light back to the light source, for example vehicle headlights, and depending on variable circumstances can be up to 1500 times brighter than white material. VANSON uses Scotchlite(tm) as piping on all of the jackets and pants seen in Chapter 10 and on items elsewhere in the catalog bearing this icon, though it can be special ordered on any garment.

ADJUSTABLE WAISTBAND
First introduced on the COBRA jacket, our adjustable waistband allows for up to four inches of adjustment. Available now on coats throughout the Sport Rider family, this feature allows accurate fit throughout the changing seasons as layers beneath the jacket change. It also helps in fitting non-standard individuals and allows them to fit accurately in an off-the-rack jacket instead of building one. The Adjustable waistband is featured on all coats in Chapter 2 and on items elsewhere in the catalog bearing this icon.

Solar Leather
Our new Solar leather is a true revolution in motorcycle safety. Vanson's Solar leather provides you with the conspicuity of specialized textile materials and the greater proven safety of leather. Solar leather has a phosphorized particle finish that is energized by ambient light and will glow for many hours. For added brightness, you can charge it with bright lights for an even more dramatic effect. The new Vanson Solar leather is further proof of our commitment to your safety.

Solar leather is featured on the Mark 2 Hurricane, Mark 2 Satellite, Mark 2 Lightning, and the Photon technical jacket. Women's garments with Solar leather are the Satellite, Hurricane and Lightning.

The Stow Sack convertible lining
The Santa Fe is Vanson's first jacket to offer the self stowing feature. The built in lining bag allows the garment to be folded into itself, reversed and zipped closed transforming it into a tidy bundle that can be tied down to your bike or stowed securely in a saddlebag.

Integral Armor
This garment comes equipped with Vanson's Grand Prix Armor in permanent exterior positions. Backed on the inside with dual density foam and finished with a soft pile covering.
