BRVI -- BACKPAD REMOVABLE VELCRO INSERT--- Icon indicates the BRVI to support the back pad is in place inside the coat. BRVI supports the backpad from the shoulder areas and thus the backpad hangs down the back of the garment - fully supported on both sides - in the same manner as a backpack on a hiker. This prevents the center back of the collar from being pulled down. ---- ----::NOTE::---- The BRVI can support both the GP backpad or the VanTech CE rated backpad.
RAM A.I.R. sleeve vents are a patented design--- There is usually one vent in each sleeve. ---- Closure is by a waterproof nylon coil zipper. This design places the vent facing forward at the inner elbow - so that when unzipped the vent bows outwards and scoops air into the sleeve and up the arm. ---- Our unique design feature is that the open vent is bridged by a perforated material that keeps the shape of the sleeve - so the sleeve does not grow - bag and billow in the wind. This retains the elbow protection of the sleeve in the proper location - while also allowing substancial forced ventilation up the arm to the torso of the rider.
REAR EXIT VENTS--- Usually two zippered vents in rear of garment close to the underarm area. ---- Vents are zippered closed. ---- OR - a single rear vent across the back. ---- Rear vents are necessary to allow air to flow from a front venting source over the rider and out the back so as to prevent ballooning of the garment.
ADJUSTABLE WAISTBAND--- Icon indicates garment has adjustable waistband for enhanced fit flexibility Garments with this feature offer +/- 2 inches of adjustability at the waist area. The exact amount will vary from style to style. This is available in both Jackets and Pants.
REAR WAIST ZIPPER ATTACHMENT--- Is a single zipper attachment. Icon indicates garment features a zipper enabling it be attached to a corresponding pant or jacket via an attachment panel. ---- Attachment panels come standard on pants and are also available for purchase as replacement parts. ---- Some jackets will have this rear waist zipper inside the back liner and so it is accessed through the zipper opening in the lining.

You're a dyed-in-the-wool rider, but not an all-out sport rider; you like to ride the motorcycle, and there may be evenings when you find yourself wanting to put on a sweater (or even two) under your jacket, so you don't want your armholes to be cut really tight.
Here's the jacket we designed for you - it's a SportRider, only with a slightly relaxed fit, cut a little looser, a little less specifically for high-performance riding.
With the pronounced forward bias to its sleeves - they hang naturally at what you might call 4 o'clock - the original Cobra was designed for riding a sportbike leaning forward. The CSR variant is cut for a more upright riding position, still with a slight forward bias to the sleeves, but in this case more like 5 o'clock to upright. It follows that it's also a little longer, and the chest is cut a little looser/more relaxed, omitting the AirCurtain front, while the RamAir sleeves are retained. There is a single-zip attachment for pants at the back of the waist, and the jacket is armor-ready.
What you have here is a real Vanson jacket, with a small dose of moderation....in everything except looks and performance. Naturally it accepts the Streamliner vest.

BLACK FIRENZE - MEDIUM WEIGHT LEATHER ( 1.2 mm ) Selected skins are gently tumbled for extra softness and a slight pebble look. Milling brings the grain up making the natural markings a little more pronounced. Garments made of this leather will require very little breaking-in time as the leather is soft and supple right away.
