SHOULDER & ELBOW VanTech CE Level 2 Armor included--- Icon indicates garment comes with VanTech CE ARMOR as standard feature.
BRVI -- BACKPAD REMOVABLE VELCRO INSERT--- Icon indicates the BRVI to support the back pad is in place inside the coat. BRVI supports the backpad from the shoulder areas and thus the backpad hangs down the back of the garment - fully supported on both sides - in the same manner as a backpack on a hiker. This prevents the center back of the collar from being pulled down. ---- ----::NOTE::---- The BRVI can support both the GP backpad or the VanTech CE rated backpad.
PROPERF LEATHER GARMENTS--- This icon indicates the garment is also available in a completely perforated leather version---- PROPERF leather is our competition grade top-grain leather with holes struck through the surface of an appropriate size and space to properly ventilate the rider while still providing the best level of protection. PROPERF garments are NOT water resistant.
STREAMLINER COMPATIBLE--- There are two possible attachments for the STREAMLINER. One type is a snap-in - the other type is zip-in. The zip-in type has two zippers along the center front facings of a jacket. ---- THE STREAMLINER is a universal insulated removeable liner. It has removable sleeves and lace-adjustable sides. It is reversible - with a hi-visibility safety yellow interior. It was July, it was hot, it was humid, it was almost unbearable. Riding naked might have been good...but instead we took a page from the racing suit side and created a mini-hole version of our famous ProPerf competition-weight leather.

With smaller holes closer together we could perforate our medium-weight Firenze leather to offer a new level of comfort for the touring rider. Vansons Perforated Leather Drifter Jacket was the result.

The Drifter family is strongly influenced by our SportRider jackets but with a more relaxed fit and lighter weight; still with armor, but cut for comfort in a relaxed riding position. We meant to build the jacket everyone would grab first on a hot summer day on their way out the door. We make these easy-to-wear styles in both mens and womens versions. A streamlined look meets functional modern technology. It has the classic center front zipper and two zipped hand pockets. Subtle-yet-substantial body armor uses our patented Floating Armor System which allows the rider to adjust protection level as needed for maximum comfort. The Vanson Perforated Leather Drifter will accept our insulated, reversible Streamliner. For a sleek look, comfort and safety, the Vanson Drifter is the jacket you grab on a hot day as you head out.

Backpad is optional. Sleeves are pre-curved - wrists are finished with
leather beading for a low-bulk finish. This jacket has a trim fit - but is
not as tight as a Sportrider jacket. Back length on a Medium is 26 inches.
Nape of neck to wrist 35 inches-----Center Front Length is 20.75 inches
Bottom circumference sweep is 42 inches.

PERFORATED BLACK FIRENZE - MEDIUM WEIGHT LEATHER 1.2 mm
Selected skins that have been milled for extra softness
and a slight pebble look. Milling brings the grain up
making the natural markings a little more pronounced.
Skins are then perforated using a mini perforation pattern
to maximize ventilation while retaining original strength
and smooth look.
