I am writing today to send you my most sincere thank you and tell anyone who is thinking about purchasing leathers that you are THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS!!! On September 10, 2011, I was making a few exhibition passes at US131 (Martin, MI) during the tracks Nitro Funnycar Event when I made one of the quickest and fastest drag racing passes in history. As I went through the Finishline, I was blown off of my Top Fuel Motorcycle at 246 MPH in 5.78 SECONDS. When I exited the motorcycle, I was lifted into the air and slammed to the pavement, which knocked me unconscious. In hind site, this was the best scenario that could have happened as my body went limp and I slid on my back for over 300 yards. As I sit and write this letter, I am totally healed from the crash. Totally. The ONLY damage that I suffered was road rash on my lower spine, where the vented material of my suit succumbed to the intense heat and abrasion of sliding across the pavement at 245+ MPH. I had NO OTHER DAMAGE. None. I could have run a 5K marathon the next morning except I had forgotten my running shoes back in Denver. HA! To my knowledge, this is the fastest motorcycle crash in history. What makes it even more amazing is the fact that I suffered almost NO damage. The suit is truly a work of art and I would NEVER put myself in another set of leathers as I have now proved that I can walk away from a second 200 MPH crash with NO abrasions. Back in 2008, I was electrocuted by a broken spark plug and had to let go of the motorcycle while traveling over 210 MPH and hit the ground going 200. This crash had the same exact result- NO DAMAGE to my skin whatsoever. TRULY AMAZING!! I cannot thank you enough for the incredible leathers that you have provided me with for the past 8 years of my Professional drag racing career. I started using your leathers and gloves back in 2003 and have been a diehard VANSON FAN since. Thank you again for all you do to keep us racers and riders safe from harm. You have proved to me that the cost of leather is much, much cheaper than time spent in the emergency room. Thank you,

One of my favorite leather jackets of all time is the Vanson Ike jacket I wore while riding my 1915 Harley across the US on the first Motorcycle Cannonball endurance ride. Hi Kim, These are a couple of higher resolution pics of my Buell and your jacket. Even without perforated leather the white jacket stays cool up here even during our Ohio summers. Can't say enough about your products. They wear well and look good for years. Kim feel free to post these updated images of my bike and me in your gallery if you like. The bike is a 1990 Buell RS 1200. The third RS 1200 of only seven in 1989 as a 1990 model. Serial #003, Buell's first street bike. I've owned it since new. Only 103 of this series built. Probably one of the oldest original owner tube frame Buells still ridden regularly. Jacket's 21yrs old too. Holding up better than me most days. I just need a little larger size... : )

I'm writing to let you know how my Vanson "House" jacket helped to save my life. Not only was it the only piece of safety equipment to survive the event, it suffered significantly less damage than I did, myself." On January 7th of this year, I was returning home from a quick trip 5 miles away to In 'N' Out Burger on my 2007 BMW K1200GT with lunch. Approximately half a mile from home, a four-wheeled BMW, preparing to make a left turn onto the same road I was on, going the opposite direction, pulled out into the intersection, *completely* blocking my lane of traffic (the only one going my direction) and stopped. I was going 50 mph and although I down-shifted, braked and attempted to pull around the front of the car, I impacted it's front, right fender just behind the front wheel axle. According to the several eye-witnesses (it was hard for me to tell what was going on at the time - My point of view was similar to what you would have seen had a professional Baseball pitcher thrown a GoPro camera down the street), after impacting the car, my body left the motorcycle, impacted the speed-limit sign across the street (bending it to a 40 degree angle), hit and sheared a highway access ladder free of the highway sound wall it was bolted to, tumbled down the asphalt for 70 feet, then slid down the asphalt for another 65 feet - The impact with the car had occurred at one intersection, and my body came to rest in the middle of the next intersection down the road. My completely destroyed 650lb motorcycle had come to rest some 50 feet behind me. When the tow-company called to ask about what my family would like to do with the 'bike's remains, they were surprised to find that it hadn't been a fatal accident (as was the case with the insurance adjuster). My injuries were such that, when the EMT's/Fire Dept./Police Dept. arrived, the decision was made to take me to the San Francisco Trauma Center 20 mile away, foregoing the several hospitals in-between. They worked on me in the trauma center for 9 hours before transporting me home and, two days later, I had to be admitted to the hospital here in San Mateo as my injuries were still too serious, and I remained inpatient there for a week. Upon returning home, I was unable to walk for several weeks, then spent time using a walker, then graduated to a cane (Yes, I bought a "House" replica cane - Figured I'd start a themed collection). I should mention here that the only surfaces of my body that did not suffer abrasions, lacerations or scuffs were covered by the jacket. I am still suffering several hours of pain daily from my healing wounds, but can now ride again. In May, I replaced the 'bike with the same model/year/options. As for the jacket, to this day nobody believes it was in the accident. I've included what pic's I have of the remains of my safety equipment. Helmet - Fractured and unserviceable. Pants - Destroyed. Gloves - Destroyed. Boots - Destroyed. I suffered a handful of fractures, Rhabdomyolysis, sprains, couldn't walk for a couple months and am *still* healing. Hell, even my underwear and socks were thrashed. But the jacket? Oh, it looks like it's had a scuff or two but, in a major accident? Nah. No one's buyin' that story. Granted - I *love* that jacket, and from the day I picked it up at Scuderia West in San Francisco last year, I treated it with no less care than the 'bike itself. So, when the accident occurred it was in near-showroom condition (excepting the stretching that my somewhat-of-a-gut put it through - It may be tough, but my gut seems to be an inexorable force), but that *still* doesn't account for the preternatural state with which it came through the ordeal. I *very* much would like to send it in to you folks to do whatever you can with regard to restoring/treating what wear an' tear it did suffer. So, if you could forward this to whomever could tell me how much that would cost/how to send it in/etc., I'd appreciate it. Thanks again for the great jacket and for always having been, in my mind, the standard of quality and excellence in design and style of great leathers!

Well my new Vanson Leathers worked great at the West Coast Challenge in Sacramento a couple of weeks back. I won my very first "GRUDGE MATCH RACE" against a built 1500cc Vortex powered Kawasaki. I beat him at the light with a .022 to his .028 and eeked him at the stripe with an 8.11 to his 8.13. For next year were upping the game to a built Pro Mod Suzuki power, hopefully with a 60 shot of nitrous I can reach the magic 300hp, hopefully good enough to get deeper into the 7's, wahoo!!

In searching for a one piece suit I talked to numerous racers who raved about the Vanson suits they have raced over the years and read many internet reviews (all positive). I purchased my first Vanson suit this year after being sold on Vanson's solid reputation for build quality, look, durability, and customer support. I put it to the test in turn ten at Brainerd International Raceway, Minnesota, low siding my bike and sliding and tumbling thirty plus yards across the pavement. My Vanson suit did its job proving you get what you pay for, in this case a quality product, I walked away without a scratch. I wouldn't race in anything else.

I have been riding for sometime and always suit up for the ride no matter how short or hot. I live in Northern-Ca where it gets blazing hot and traffic is crazy.I recently went down hard with Vason Leathers on and your gear saved my life and my ability to walk,Thank you so much I trusted my Life to you and you did not let me down.The story goes its 10:40pm (dark) was merging from I-5 S to Hwy 44 W in CA. When I look back to clear my merge/lane change and leaned in early clipping the edge of the meridian with my back rim/flattening my tire and launching (highside) me. I ride it out/recover and backed(slide) into the center divider/wall @ 70+mph hitting/pinning my left hip/leg with G-force/bike. I spent 12 days in the hospital for a broken hip and both legs, I'm recovering and can walk thanks to Vason Leathers. Oh yeah I need to buy new pants,the firefighter/EMT cut them off me

I'm no racer, for sure. The pants are custom Technical Sport Rider. The jacket is not custom, but one day I'd like to get a custom Mark 2 Cobra. At 6' 3", size 46 coat, waist 34", 190 lbs., Vanson is the only way to go.

just wanted to give you guys some praise, the volante suit performed incredibly well at Jennings GP. It's a thousand times better than my old Spidi. I'll be sending it back to you guys pretty soon to get a speed hump added.

Diane works as a Rider's Edge manager and Rider Coach for Harley-Davidson of Lakeland, FL The new suit is a perfect fit for me, as a 6'1" tall woman, off the rack suits were VERY uncomfortable. My husband and I participate in track days for recreation and riding skills improvement. I am amazed at how much a proper fitting suit improves my form on the track. The only regret I have is that I waited so long before buying a Vanson suit. Thank you for a great product.

Here are a few photos of one of your suits in action down here in the Florida CCS races. Thanks for a suit that fits perfectly and has held up very well. Perforation helps the airflow, and the chest pocket is a good place for a few handfulls of ice before going out onto the track! (I tell everyone to get one -- it is great.)

I have had these leathers for two years now, and they have performed well in several crashes, and I just now had to send them off for repair after a recent get-off at Hallett.

My jacket just turned 30 years old. It is as strong and sturdy as the day it was bought, and more supple than I could have imagined leather to be. It is one of my oldest and most prized possessions. My jacket has seen probably 30 of 50 states, as well as some track day usage. I wear it regardless of heat or cold, and although it doesn't have the venting features of your wonderful new products, it's specialness more than makes up for that for me. It has a mature permanence about it, and I believe the jacket will never wear out. I would recommend your product to anyone.

I've had these leathers for a good ten years now! I wear them almost every weekend, rain or shine, and there still good as new (that’s a lot of weekends).

I have been a Vanson fan for years but this past year has made me more than a lifetime owner/ advertiser of Vanson products. I had 2 wrecks on my CBR1100XX in 2005 and each time I was wearing my Vanson gear...each and every time they [Vanson gear]have saved me from abrasions and major injury..The jacket and pants still look brand new except for a "little character". Thanks for making such a great product, I really consider them a factor in the reason I am here today!

I just wanted to write you a letter saying thanks for building such a great product. I know you probably hear this a lot, but I was recently in a motorcycle crash while wearing your Enfield jacket and I believe it helped save me from serious injury. In the course of the accident, a Jeep ran over me while I was wearing your jacket. Please allow me to explain: On May 18th 2013, I was on the way home from buying a second motorcycle and I was following a lifted Jeep Cherokee. The 16 year old driver of the Jeep (with a brand new license) turned right into a street and then whipped left to make a U-turn without looking. Unfortunately, I had no time to stop, and collided with his driver's side door. I was knocked unconscious and fell to the ground. The driver then decided that he should move his Jeep off the road, and proceeded to run me over in the process. His driver's side rear tire drove up onto me at my waist, rolled up my spine and directly over my head. I was extremely lucky - I am miraculously unhurt after this accident. I sustained a concussion, but I have no broken bones, no lacerations, no internal injuries, and no internal bleeding. Just the concussion and some bumps and deep bruises - not even any road rash! I was released from the hospital 6 hours after the crash. Considering that the driver of the Jeep drove over my body, I believe your product saved me from serious injury. The jacket has some light scuffs, but there is hardly a mark on the leather. My jacket was a standard Enfield with a custom dark brown competition weight leather - the thickest leather I have owned. Unfortunately, the ambulance crew cut it off me before I had a chance to say anything, and it was completely ruined as a result. I have owned several of your jackets before, but this one was my go-to jacket. It fit me perfectly and it moved with me when I rode. Your jackets are not only great protection, but they are the most functional motorcycle jackets I have owned (and I've owned a few). I must say that I am now thoroughly convinced of the quality of your products. I will be replacing this jacket with another Vanson as soon as my finances will allow, and I will proudly tell my friends about how your product played a large role in keeping me alive and healthy. My wife, who is currently pregnant, thanks you as well. I believe this means even more to her than it does to me.
