SHOULDER & ELBOW VanTech CE Level 2 Armor included--- Icon indicates garment comes with VanTech CE ARMOR as standard feature.
BRVI -- BACKPAD REMOVABLE VELCRO INSERT--- Icon indicates the BRVI to support the back pad is in place inside the coat. BRVI supports the backpad from the shoulder areas and thus the backpad hangs down the back of the garment - fully supported on both sides - in the same manner as a backpack on a hiker. This prevents the center back of the collar from being pulled down. ---- ----::NOTE::---- The BRVI can support both the GP backpad or the VanTech CE rated backpad.
RAM A.I.R. sleeve vents are a patented design--- There is usually one vent in each sleeve. ---- Closure is by a waterproof nylon coil zipper. This design places the vent facing forward at the inner elbow - so that when unzipped the vent bows outwards and scoops air into the sleeve and up the arm. ---- Our unique design feature is that the open vent is bridged by a perforated material that keeps the shape of the sleeve - so the sleeve does not grow - bag and billow in the wind. This retains the elbow protection of the sleeve in the proper location - while also allowing substancial forced ventilation up the arm to the torso of the rider.
AIR CURTAIN VENT--- This is a patented vent system that allows the rider to open or close an <> stitched into the front lining panels of the garment. This design has the outline of the vent top-stitched through the outer shell. ---- The AirCurtain is made of waterproof coated nylon - so when closed the vent is sealed. This Air Curtain may be opened a little or a lot - making the ventilation adjustable. ---- This design is ideal for allowing full frontal graphics without compromising the ventilation capabilities of the garment.
REAR EXIT VENTS--- Usually two zippered vents in rear of garment close to the underarm area. ---- Vents are zippered closed. ---- OR - a single rear vent across the back. ---- Rear vents are necessary to allow air to flow from a front venting source over the rider and out the back so as to prevent ballooning of the garment.
ADJUSTABLE WAISTBAND--- Icon indicates garment has adjustable waistband for enhanced fit flexibility Garments with this feature offer +/- 2 inches of adjustability at the waist area. The exact amount will vary from style to style. This is available in both Jackets and Pants.
3-WAY WAIST ZIPPERS JACKET TO PANTS CONNECTION--- 3 short molded nylon zippers allow a JACKET + PANT zip-together combination while also allowing adjustable waistbands on either or both the pants and jacket---- These zippers are set into spandex stretch panels - which have a << stop stretch >> insert to control the amount of separation and movement between the jacket and the pants. ---- The Connectors come standard with pants featuring this icon - and are also available as replacement parts.
STREET + TRACK COMBINATION STYLES--- Styles that are designed to be custom-made into European style street-riding suits. There are made with a full circumference waist zipper for racing suit integrity. By combining selected styles with different features it is possbile to create a very flexible and purpose-focused suit. With this concept you can mix-and-match jackets and pants to match daily conditions.
STREAMLINER COMPATIBLE--- There are two possible attachments for the STREAMLINER. One type is a snap-in - the other type is zip-in. The zip-in type has two zippers along the center front facings of a jacket. ---- THE STREAMLINER is a universal insulated removeable liner. It has removable sleeves and lace-adjustable sides. It is reversible - with a hi-visibility safety yellow interior. You're a Millenial, you think everybody should get a star...No, wait, you're a real extrover - you're confident, you want to be noticed - you're OK with delivery drones mistaking you for a waypoint. Here for you is a coat with a red star big enough to see from a spacecraft. It's a contemporary interpretation of the Star jacket, with all the functionality of the Cobra - ventilation from the air-curtain front and ram-air sleeves, armor-ready, with 3-zip attachment to pants, and an adjustable suede waistband. Naturally it accepts the Streamliner vest.

A 1960's-inspired supergraphic Vanson logo adds twist and shout to the classic flat-track symbol. And just like the label on a certain quality brand of Scotch, it'll annoy those who like everything in the straight and narrow.

The Cobra Star isn't all show and surface - there are subtle structural differences too - with the big star taking the place of the shoulder seam you get a suppler, more flexible fit, a jacket you can really move around in. And that in its turn just adds to your sense of confidence.

The conceptual design brief for this project has always been that the armor is to stay in the correct position, regardless of the attitude, altitude and speed of the rider. In practice this means that the garment has to fit properly (snugly) and not expand when, for example, vents are opened.

The armor has to be imperceptible to the rider, so that the rider can move; it has to have a little give, which is why we have the patented Floating Armor System. When the ventilation is activated the airflow mustn't distort the size and shape of the garment.

All these are lessons that come out of hard-won Road Race experience.

BLACK REVOLUTION + PERFORATED COMPETITION WEIGHT LEATHER
Full weight 1.4 mm (3.50 to 3.75 oz) competition leather.
Solid and Perforated leather combined for protection and
ventilation. Ducati-Red Star graphics with white trim are
set into the jacket panels. Ducati-Yellow lettering
spells out VANSON across the front.
