SHOULDER & ELBOW VanTech CE Level 2 Armor included--- Icon indicates garment comes with VanTech CE ARMOR as standard feature.
BRVI -- BACKPAD REMOVABLE VELCRO INSERT--- Icon indicates the BRVI to support the back pad is in place inside the coat. BRVI supports the backpad from the shoulder areas and thus the backpad hangs down the back of the garment - fully supported on both sides - in the same manner as a backpack on a hiker. This prevents the center back of the collar from being pulled down. ---- ----::NOTE::---- The BRVI can support both the GP backpad or the VanTech CE rated backpad.
RAM A.I.R. sleeve vents are a patented design--- There is usually one vent in each sleeve. ---- Closure is by a waterproof nylon coil zipper. This design places the vent facing forward at the inner elbow - so that when unzipped the vent bows outwards and scoops air into the sleeve and up the arm. ---- Our unique design feature is that the open vent is bridged by a perforated material that keeps the shape of the sleeve - so the sleeve does not grow - bag and billow in the wind. This retains the elbow protection of the sleeve in the proper location - while also allowing substancial forced ventilation up the arm to the torso of the rider.
REAR EXIT VENTS--- Usually two zippered vents in rear of garment close to the underarm area. ---- Vents are zippered closed. ---- OR - a single rear vent across the back. ---- Rear vents are necessary to allow air to flow from a front venting source over the rider and out the back so as to prevent ballooning of the garment.
STREAMLINER COMPATIBLE--- There are two possible attachments for the STREAMLINER. One type is a snap-in - the other type is zip-in. The zip-in type has two zippers along the center front facings of a jacket. ---- THE STREAMLINER is a universal insulated removeable liner. It has removable sleeves and lace-adjustable sides. It is reversible - with a hi-visibility safety yellow interior. Its called Hard Core for two reasons one, for how tough it is and two, for the attitude it projects. Made of rugged competition-weight leather with substantial chrome hardware, the Vanson Hard Core Leather Motorcycle Jacket is a Vanson original - not to be confused with wannabe motorcycle jackets.

We had the Vanson Highwayman, but we wanted something a little cleaner, less traditional but still a Hard Core Biker / Cafe Racer Jacket. This unique jacket was sketched out in a South Boston diner after a late night run when it was about to get plenty cold and wet on the ride home. We knew we wanted to be able to fully close out the wind so we added a throat latch to the under-collar. Flip up the collar and button the throat latch to keep the cold out... or snap the collar and throat latch down to enjoy the wind. Then we added the reinforced kidney protection and lace-up side panels for comfort during long rides. We kept the deep and secure inside wallet pocket, and the concealed carry (CCW) leather-lined gun pocket. 100% Hard Core through and through.

Selected skins are gently tumbled for extra softness
and a slight pebble look. Milling brings the grain up
making the natural markings a little more pronounced.
Garments made of this leather will require very little
breaking-in time as the leather is soft and supple right
away.
