Drying and Storage Hanger
Now you can rinse, dry, and store your Vanson jacket or suit conveniently and safely. Our oversized contoured hanger (5" x 23") has been specially designed to open the shoulders to allow proper ventilation.
The hanger body is made of heavy-duty polyethylene, and the hook of heavy-gauge stainless steel, attached by a Nylock nut and washer. The design of the hanger minimizes pressure points on the garment, while allowing the hanger to easily turn around, for cleaning and applying Vanson-Leather-Balm. This hanger will hold up to 100 lbs, and by separating the front of the garment from the back allows much faster drying than a conventional hanger.
To store a racing suit, hang it in a dry warm area out of direct sunlight. Make sure the material is not folded, and keep the arms, legs and torso open. To dry, hang the suit inside-out in a dry warm area out of direct sunlight. Open up the interior to allow air circulation. Open all zippers, buckles and ties. Pull out both sides of the waist and push up the crotch area.
We recommend that a Vanson Garment Bag (VGB) be used to protect the suit and at the same time promote the beneficial flow of air.
The concept of interior ventilation from the inside out that this hanger allows is very similar to the way we dry garments after the Vanson-Leather-Bath.
