CE Level2 Knee Armor

Direct-Connect

Super adhesive is used to glue the velcro shapes to both the inner and outer surfaces of the CE L2 armor shapes. This allows the CE23 Knee armor to be attached directly to the garment shell in the best position for protection and comfort. We call this method of attachment Direct-Connect, as the CE armor is Direct-Connect to the pad, and the pad is in turn a Direct-Connect to the garment shell.

The concept of this system is to both disperse and absorb the force of repeated impacts while providing the best protection. In order to achieve this, it is important that the knee armor remain in the proper position relative to the body and not shift even during a crash. To best achieve this the foam pad becomes an acute shape cradling the armor inside the curve and holding the CE armor snugly against the riders' body.
